I’ve seen many top 5 “Instagrammable” places in London posts, but what about the rest of us? Those of us who have to literally take an expensive day trip to London for photographs just to fit in. Well, you don’t have to, there are so many Instagrammable places here in Swansea and I bet also where you live (or the nearest city at least). So, here’s my favourite “Instagrammable” places in Swansea and more that I hope to explore soon.
Photographer: Robyn Jones
Number 1 and the most recent addition to Swansea’s hot spots has got to be Slug & Lettuce. After their half a million refurb, the place is looking incredible, honestly like a bloggers dream tbh. Pink neon lighting, tropical print wallpaper, pink velvet seating, oh, and the flower/angel wing selfie wall! I was lucky enough to be 1 of the few bloggers they invited along to the event where I got to experience what a gorgeous Friday night in a bloggers dream bar is like. We sipped on Prosecco, took photos, watched a cocktail masterclass, stuffed ourselves on nibbles (veggie/vegan options available HOORAH!) and finished the night with cocktails from the Pornstar Martini Tree! You can experience the cocktail masterclass yourself for £25! Perfect for a birthday or girlfriend gathering!
Number 2 I would have to say is the Marina. Catch a day when the sun is glowing and oh my gosh you just feel so far away from the city hustle and bustle. You can take gorgeous photos with the yachts/boats in the background, outfit selfies on long sloping steps and then gorgeous apartment/palm tree shots along the beach front. Also, when you’re not taking outfit selfies you can enjoy a walk with the gorgeous seafront view in front of you.
Number 3 would be Wetherspoons tucked away garden terrace, I accidentally stumbled upon this one evening with the girls, I’d ventured many times into The Bank Statement for drinks and a dance with the girlies before but this hadn’t long opened up and on a warm evening, it’s gorgeous with the twinkling fairy lights on. (Also, Wetherspoons have an app that means you don’t even have to get up and wait at the bar! BONUS)
Other top Instagrammable spots that I have yet to explore and take recent photographs at are;
The Optimist Bar/Kitchen – Marble tables, perfect for food flat lays! (Thank you Georgia for this recommendation)
Mumbles Pier (See this post, to look at the photos we took there)
Brangwyn Hall – Truly a magnificent building (on the outside, not sure what it looks like inside) Gorgeous huge doors, steps & painted glass.
Sunflower Field in Rhossili – Catch it at the right time of year and they look gorgeous in photographs.
Havanna Club – Rooftop terrace complete with sofas, heat torches, lights and blankets
If you like this post and would like me to find more “Instgrammable” places in Swansea and it’s neighbouring areas then let me know & we’ll have fun getting onto that.
