Valentine’s day is just a few weeks away, and many of us are getting prepped for having a date with the one we love. During the preparation for Valentine’s Day, you will most likely think about what on earth you are going to wear? Well, I’m here to help you as always!
Finding the perfect outfit to impress can be difficult, but it can also be a fun opportunity to play with everything you currently have in your wardrobe. If you are stuck on ideas and need a little bit of inspiration for the “most” romantic day of the year, then here’s a couple!
The Little Black Dress – LBD
There’s really nothing in the world which can look as effortlessly sexy as a little black dress. Most of us will already own a black dress that we adore, but if you don’t, you can find one pretty much anywhere you go. The main thing to look for is a style which suits your figure and flatters your curves. This will become your holy grail dress which you will wear whenever you can’t decide on anything else. Pick well and make the most of your body shape. Pair this with a pair of heeled ankle boots or even go a little bit adventurous with a pair of statement heels. (They don’t have to be too high just opt for a sparkly or brightly coloured pair)
Fresh and feminine
If you want to wear something with a little bit of personality and colour, then off the shoulder tops with a bright skirt are the perfect way to go. If you pick either a white or a black off the shoulder top you can pair this with a brightly coloured midi skirt to really make a statement. Red is a popular choice but you could also go for blue or pink. Pair these with some flats and wear your hair in a braid for that sweet feminine look.
Sexy and sleek
If you really want to make your other half go wild for you this valentine’s day, you can go for a more sexy style. Pick something such as a v-neck bodysuit and pair this with high waisted jeans and boots for a sexy, sleek look. Wear your hair away from your face to accentuate your neck and shoulders to drive him wild. (Think Kim & Khloe Kardashian)
Pretty in pink
Pink is a soft colour which says romance like no other. If you don’t want to wear red or you feel as if it doesn’t suit you, a blushing pink shade could be the perfect option for you. Pick out your favourite pink dress or even a flowy pink shirt to wear with tight skinny jeans. Pair this with curly hair and a simple black or nude handbag and heels for an outfit that is subtly romantic.
If you know that you are spending Valentine’s Day outside (if you’re in the UK, good luck with this cold weather!), you can make the most of the opportunity to dress casual but still with that hint of sex appeal. Wear a pair of comfortable boots and pair this with ripped jeans, a simple cosy knit jumper and trench coat layered with a scarf. Finish with your hair down in soft waves and you will look effortlessly beautiful even out in the countryside.
