Tis the season to be jolly – Or typical of us girls, search ALL the shops for a party outfit you feel comfortable but pretty in, and that doesn’t dip into your Christmas present fund. Admit it, Christmas is a stressful time. So, I’ve decided to help you girlies out a bit by finding budget outfits for you. (Budget being £60 and under!)
I have always worn dresses to my Christmas parties so I’m going to start with them, but don’t worry I put a tweet out there and I found out some of you love to wear jumpsuits and some short dresses with leggings. So, I’ve added an outfit of each plus more!
A bodycon is a modern go-to for most girls for a night out, but I know not all of us like our arms for one reason or another, so a long sleeve glittery bodycon I think is perfect if you want to flash a bit of leg this season. Pair with simple elegant black heels and your party ready in under £45!
Velvet is in again this festive season and with this gorgeous green colour dress for only £30 you will look as pretty as a perfectly wrapped present, pair with some simple or slightly glittery heels and you have yourself an outfit for £60!
Perhaps you like to be a little more covered up, more sophisticated or feel a little older in age to wear a short bodycon, so I’ve opted for this gorgeous mid bodycon dress with sweet bow heels all for £35!
Next, is skirts, I wore a glitter skirt with a velvet crop top one year – What a mess that was, so for you girls I’ve chosen a gorgeous Christmassy red sequin skirt with a mesh black top that you can tuck into the skirt (wear either a black vest top or a bralet underneath, whatever you feel comfortable in) and I also wore velvet boots so I’ve opted for these transparent star ones from Boohoo and only £18!
One outfit if you don’t want to flash all of your legs, is a very pretty tulle skirt with glitter heels, add a basic fitted top, which when tucked in it’ll give you an elegant smooth figure without showing your food baby! – £57
My next one you get three items that you can mix them up with other outfits in the future and wear again and again. This gorgeous sequin top isn’t clingy and will sit nicely on the waistband of the flared black trousers I’ve chosen. The glittery stiletto heel will give you height and help lengthen your legs whilst the peeping bit of glitter will make the outfit more party ready! – £58
Velvet again, but this time in trouser form, paired with a cute sequin crop top and basic low heeled shoes, I would definitely be dancing in this outfit if I hadn’t already ordered my dress! £51
The jumpsuit – I wore one, one year and I was very worried how I was going to deal with the zip, especially as it was my work’s do but I managed it, I think the alcohol made me a bit more flimsy and I managed to flip my arm backwards to zip myself in. Phew! I’ve given you two black slimming jumpsuit options with a low glittery heel (low heel so that you don’t topple over in the toilets when doing the zip up dance) and guess what! This entire outfit would be under £40!
Lastly is the comfortable party dress, wear this loose golden shimmer dress with nude leggings and not only will you be kept warm and safe from any pant flashing when dancing. But, at a quick glance, no one will really notice you have leggings on! I paired with velvet heels to add a bit more of a festive vibe to the look.
The dress above is the one I will be wearing on the 8th to my work’s Christmas party. I’ve arranged for it to be at the sky bar and restaurant in Swansea – Grape & Olive post then we will all be heading into town for the only club that had a big enough booth for us all.
Dress – Zara || Boots – H&M (old)|| Bag – Primark || Earrings – TU Sainsburys (old)
Thank you for reading this post and as it is super close to Christmas I hope you have a lovely, safe time, at all your parties and events.
