As you may know by now I love fashion, but latest trends scare me a little, to be honest, so I love to tweak them slightly to fit in my “average girl” lifestyle.

I have been excitedly looking through pages of Vogue and London fashion week online to find the highlights and trends. When I came up with the idea to share with you, the trends I think can be worn in everyday life, shopping on a high street budget too.

Starting off with a collection from Isa Arfen, this look is great for girls who want to wear a dress but don’t like or want to show off their legs in a sheer dress. I love the baby blue of the first dress and I think paired with the Only cigarette trousers and a black bandeau this could be really cute for a night at a music gig. Black mules are still in so I’d opt for the London Rebel one’s to add a bit of accessory vibe with the buckle detail.

Keeping with the sheer theme, Emilio de la Morena paired sheer tops with an oversized dress and tights, so I totally fell for the Little White Lies red leaf top and pairing that with the Missguided velvet rose dress I think could be totally cute outfit for a party or spring date night.

The design from Xiao Li is of similar design with layering and reminds me of summer 2016 when everyone paired black slip dresses over white tee’s but for those colder Spring days, you could pair a monochrome turtle neck with a simple or lace slip dress. Xiao Li also brought a gorgeous off the shoulder dress that flowed right to the floor at the back, I think the boohoo dress is a pretty good dupe!

Next, is a style I have always wanted to brave, denim on denim, it’s simple and timeless really and back in season so pair your favourite mom jeans with a fitted denim shirt or swap if you are small breasted to accentuate your best bits in a pair of skinny jeans.

The matching suit in tweed I went for, is more of a style for the business woman who wants to nod towards fashion, try and find a blazer that falls to the hemline of your skirt and pair it with a white tee and eye-catching green (any other colour will work too) boots.

The look from Alexander Wang is my favourite and a total insight to my night out wardrobe. I love the pairing of leather shorts, tights and a simple long-sleeved band tee if you carefully groom your hair and perfect your makeup. This look can look casually put together in an oh-so-perfect way!

And of course we had to end on the beautiful Kendall – She wore an updated suit look for Moschino with fur, but the suit look was also seen in Fashion week paired with skirts, so I adore the idea of the Pretty Little Thing blazer, paired with perhaps a lace bralette if you aren’t brave enough to go bare and the Jane Norman, flare legged trousers.

That is my Fashion Week overlook and pretty much all of these looks I will be trying to find similar (or buy myself) in my wardrobe and style throughout Spring/Summer 17.

Happy Shopping girlies & Thank You for reading.

  1. This is a great post! I used to be more into fashion than I currently am, I think it’s so easy to look into trends and feel a bit discouraged because you may not be able to pull it off. I think it’s great that you take the trends and make it into your own!

  2. Charlee your taste is impeccable! I would absolutely wear everything you’ve picked out here! You’re right, it’s hard to translate what you see in fashion week into clothing you can wear on the daily, but you’ve done a fab job of selecting all the right things here! I especially love the ASOS dress with the mesh-look panel on the front!

  4. I do love fashion, but I’m very much a casual dresser. Blazer, jeans and flats are my go-to work outfit and you’ll find me in jeans and tees at the weekend. But I loved this post and it gave me quite a few ideas, such as a more colourful blazer rather than my navy blue and maybe I’ll even brave a slip dress this year.
