I am a clothes hoarder, to prove this, I can honestly say I have a crochet flower knit top from when I was about 12 that I was still able to fit up until the age of 19… Yeah, I had a literal growth spurt outwards and upwards in my 20’s and I’m only 23 now….. quick someone hide the custard creams from me?!
Before I moved onto Budget Fashion Blogging, I said I was a personal style blogger – I realise now I lied, I didn’t embrace my style or my wardrobe at all, so I’ve dug right into my wardrobe to see what I’ve got. You know what I found? I found that I had a lot of this seasons style stuffed away in there already… Baker boy cap ✔️ 70’s plaid ✔️ and red ✔️.
I bought these boots about 5 years ago I think (oh wow, now I feel old!) They aren’t the bright power red that’s in right now but they are a perfect autumnal red don’t you think? They fit me amazingly and work so well with jeans or dresses and tights. OH, and you’ll never guess where I bought them from? Everythings5pounds.com – Honestly, this post isn’t sponsored and I haven’t bought anything from them in well 5 years, but I did a big order all those years ago and these are the one thing that I didn’t wear to bits or actually get rid of. I’m finally embracing them and they are perfect! The best part is I haven’t had to shell out £20+ for a pair of new red boots cause I already had a perfect pair in my wardrobe….
I paired them with simple black skinny jeans from Primark, a H&M pretty camisole, brand new lotd oversized cream cardi and a green Topshop scarf. If I add up all together in my head how much this outfit has cost me over the years I think it would roughly be £50! Bargain, plus other than the new cardigan all the pieces were already bought over previous years and still look great!
Moral of the story, if you’re a hoarder like me, it’s ok! Because fashion rotates so much that those pieces will be in again soon!
