I have recently been very good with my money and really only buying what was necessary or a cheap treat to myself (like my KISS nails).
But I did have to buy a fair few beauty items as I was running out, so I tried some new brands/products and thought I’d give you a little haul and a brief review on my thoughts (have they worked as promised or not).
Let’s get the boring part out the way, BUT when you are a Youtuber or on social media constantly, white teeth is kind of an unnecessary must that we all find ourselves doing. I have sensitive teeth and as much as I would love to pop along to my dentist and get them properly done, that price every other month is not an option! So high street products to the rescue and I noticed Colgate had a new range out in Boots. One set came with a toothbrush but I love my Nano-B brush so I opted for the toothpaste option in soft mint. Good Point – It worked within a week I noticed a difference totally! Easy to use, don’t have to wait around for minutes, high street price too!. Bad Point – After 2 weeks the whitening didn’t whiten anymore, I mean it kept it to how much it already had but I can still see yellowing and white patches.
Next, let’s talk about my face saviour as of last month from Deciem* they sent me this product with another to test out and I genuinely love this one. The packaging is great for insta and has that science vibe going on but the science behind this Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is great, I don’t use this product every day, but when I wake up and see some redness it sorts it right out and pretty much always the next day I have no redness for a couple of days. Hello, less foundation and natural freckles. I use less than a pea-sized amount to smooth across my chin and cheeks. It’s very silky soft and I personally haven’t found it stinging or irritating my skin. (which is a miracle for miss allergic to everything!) Also, this product is vegan and cruelty-free. YAS!
The Intuition 4 blade shaver from Wilkin Sword, I bought as it was on offer when looking for a disposable pack of razors and decided to give it a try. I was really surprised when I took it out of its plastic casing, it has a massive block of shea butter moisturing cream surrounding the blades including an aloe vera strip as well. If this doesn’t give me silky smooth lasting legs without the pain then nothing will! I have only tried this product once since I bought it at the end of the month but ahhh I could not stop touching my legs! I got that freshly shaven legs in clean bed sheets feeling for like 3 days.
Now, I only need to talk a little bit about this foundation because every girl and their nan has this one, and nearly a billion positive reviews must be out there by now, but this foundation has entered my routine for the days I want a slightly thicker coverage for photographs, events and days when the curse of the spots attack. Love it!
The WOW highlighter from Collection is oh my gosh a steal for only £2.99 when I bought it, although I have a feeling it will go up in price like the concealer because it’s amazing and its packaging uncannily looks very similar to the YSl Touche Eclat, I often pick up the wrong one by mistake (YSL is only worn for very special events) it’s not great for concealing spots (some have tried), but for highlighting under your eyes or even putting on the tops of your cheeks for a glow is amazing!
Heat Protectant is something I always use and not often switch up, but it was on offer and looked pretty nice so I gave it a chance and ooo when I straighten my hair it smells so nice! Like I can smell it hours after when my hair wafts in front of my face. I presume it works against heat defence but I really don’t have a clue how I could tell you if it did or didn’t, I’d ask my hair if I could but I can’t. haha.
Lastly, I needed hairspray for my curly hair that is making a comeback, but picking up the Schwarzkopf got2b #instashine one was a totally vain purchase that I plan on using much more than just for photographs. As of yet I haven’t actually seen any “glitter” particles in the hair spray so don’t be worried about that and also it smells great too! Cause we all know some hair sprays can smell horrible and choke us girlies.
Hope I’ve helped you decide what’s worth picking up, let me know if you recommend any products or leave links below 🙂0
