I’ve gone right back to loving Primark.. Yep, there was a point back nearly 2 years ago where I turned snobby, I stopped shopping there, barely would wear any clothes I had of them.. not because I didn’t love them or want to, but out of prinicple that I had in my mind that more high end highstreet to designer items would 1. Make me feel better, 2. Make me look better, 3. Make me more popular, 4. Get my blog where I wanted – And which one of them did I achieve? Uh maybe the make me feel a bit better on the short term for a while, because hey I did feel great and “a million dollars” when I struted around in my Gap Jeans, Guess Handbag, Michael Kors purse, Vogue sunglasses and Lipsy tops & jackets. Yeah I did feel great, did it make my bank balance feel great or gain me friends? Nope, in fact my very closest friends right now wear Primark – Newlook clothes and for all they know all those designer items I once paraded around could be fake! (They really aren’t, most I bought at discounted price or when I went abroad and got taken in by the having extra euro’s left over)
So, back to why I have gone right back to Primark, well everyone knows you can get cheap fast fashion clothing items from them, but occasionally they can do amazing pieces that I have found can with stand the actual usage if not more sometimes than my similar item from Topshop would.. Plus having fast fashion items and lots of it means I can constantly change up my style and look for whatever mood I am in on, on the day. It’s my kind of thing, to one day be grunge black and chokers, the next casual jeans and a hoodie, to then be in a moderate power dressing outfit for work. I’m no one trip pony..
80% of this entire outfit is Primark I mean like right down to the socks.. 20% is divided between the lipsy studded Khaki Jacket and the Ann Summers underwear I have hidden underneath….So yep, the totally cute flamingo pocket white tee I bought back last year for my Bluestone holiday in Primark for around £6, Jeans £11, Green velvet backpack £9, footlet elephant print socks £1.50 pack of 3, grey lace up shoes £6, grey faux suede bow choker £2, blue tinted cat eye sunglasses £2.
So minus the other items thats an entire outfit in under £38! Uh, that’s pretty much a top and socks in Topshop and a pair of jeans and top in Newlook…. Don’t get me wrong I ADORE Newlook jeans and I will soon do a post on why I always opt for NewLook jeans for a tight fit!
As soon as my house is finalised and I am back from holiday, make sure to keep an eye on my blog for a big haul!
