You’ve got a friend, girlfriend or family member that is vegan or vegetarian and you aren’t sure what you can actually buy them? Or maybe you just didn’t realise that most makeup brands aren’t vegan/ cruelty-free friendly. In this post, I hope to help and perhaps educate you.
Of course any beauty lover and vegan/vegetarian know that Makeup Revolution is the high street brand to turn too! They can’t actually claim they are vegan due to complications but they do promise that no products or ingredients are tested on animals but they are looking into getting the vegan crown. So if you haven’t shopped for Makeup Revolution then you can either buy from their online shop or Superdrug stores. I personally recommend the eyeshadow palettes highly! They are my favourite and in fact, have 2 coming my way for Christmas myself as well as contouring palette and more.
For a more high-end beauty lover (I promise not OTT expensive) try lllamasqua Vegan and Cruelty Free range that you can find here. The range isn’t as big as the Makeup Rev one but some of the powder shades are 😍.
Now food that is a tricky one you have to be careful and yes even with sweets this is something that shocked and made me open my eyes! But I was also pleasantly surprised when I found that some of my favourite treats were “accidentally” vegan. Below is a little list of treats that are perfect for stocking filler presents, I personally love that Skittles & Love hearts are vegan-friendly. (Yes I am currently stuffing my face with them)
- Haribo – Sour Rainbow Strips & the Twists
- Jelly Tots
- Cadbury Burnsville Plain Chocolate
- Green & Blacks – Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut & Currant, Ginger, Maya Gold, Espresso, Spiced Chilli, Lemon & Mint
- Lindt Excellence – 70%, 85% and 90% Dark Chocolate
- Turkish Delight (I am delighted about this. ha!)
- Oreo Cookies
- Fox’s Party Rings
I hope this helped give you a few ideas what to get your close ones this christmas
Happy Holidays Everyone
